Project FAQ

General, questions can be asked here and I’ll compile the answers on this post as we go!

What is the <ProjectName> Project?

auroraNOVAE/Starship/StarStuff/superNOVAE/etc are all pet projects to help me focus my ideas, write and create, allowing me to build characters and a world without feeling like my creativity is aimless. As I create through the year, I combine the ideas, gather them up and create an outline for that years’ NaNoWriMo.

So it’s a personal project that steers me learning to commit and be consistent while also having fun writing for me!

Will these projects ever become a something?

That isn’t the goal to make it into anything, but with all the writings I do, the more ideas I get, so its a definite a possibility I might make something worthwhile.

Can I use….?

No.

You may not claim credit to my art or writings, you my not use my art or writing commercially, remove any of my watermarks or signatures, or appropriate any of my intellectual property including original characters, ideas writings, stories and concepts as your own.

What program do you use for Writing?

  • Scrivener for Windows
  • Google Docs & Sheets
  • Microsoft Word
  • Notepad
  • A Notepad and paper

How long have you been writing?

I’ve only been writing seriously since 2010 but it’s something I’ve been doing for fun since before I can remember.  I still have stories and notes and ideas from the late 1980’s!

What’s with the stock photos?

I use public domain pictures to fill in for pictures on the site. I’d make my own but I’m out of practice myself and my photo skills are terrible.

Plus years ago I used to use nothing but my own art, then I kept finding it on other sites, news sites, blogs and more because a bunch was taken, well, stolen by someone and turned into a collection and sold without my consent. So why waste the effort when it’ll be stolen?

Maybe someday I’ll change my mind.

How much time do you spend on this?

Not nearly enough, but I try to write for an hour every day. I prefer to write in the morning or early hours of the day, but I’ve not most of my writing in the evening.

What motivates you to write?

Write. Seriously. Write. I write about what I want, just write what I’m thinking. Write now, write more, write forever. As long as I can write a word, I write it down.

But that’s the motivates me. Honestly there are better writer advice out there, don’t look to me for motivation or tips.

Enjoy!
